Day 26: Vegas - relaxation style

25 May 2011

We woke up whenever we felt like today. Why not?

The late morning was followed by a relaxing time by the pool. The hotel store wanted to charge us $16 or something for a tiny tube of sun block. Mike scouted it out and realized that we could smooth talk the life guards by the towel tent into using theirs.

We headed out so that I could get a desperately needed haircut and also some lunch. We tried this Hawaiian joint. It was mostly teryaki stuff, but I did try some sushi-like seaweed and rice rolls that had spam in them. My first time trying spam and it wasn't bad.

We were taken on a very local-knowledgeable tour of Las Vegas by Mike's friend Laura and her friend Fabian. One thing they showed us was Biff's plaza from Back to the Future 2! They showed us quite a bit and even took us to a hypnotist show. Thanks so much guys!

We tried to end the night with a Bellagio fountain show, but the winds were too strong and they cancelled the shows for the evening. Instead we walked around the Bellagio lobby and looked at the odd combinations of decorations they had.
