West Coast Picturama

San Francisco! The Mouse Trap game for motorcycles.

Our old friend Priscilla hosted us for the two nights we were in town. It was good times! Too bad she had to work so much, but she was shooting a video game commercial like an awesome big shot.

There's always money in the banana stand.

Another city, another bunch of sea lions.

Allegedly the crookedest street in the world. It was pretty crooked. But it was more like riding through someone's garden.

Allegedly the biggest China Town in America. There are a lot of disputed claims here.

We had high hopes for this randomly chosen Chinese food. It was terrible.

My parking spot for the night.

Paul's Christian Rock album cover.

With the rain fly, my hammock often reminds me of this:

We tried something different for dinner. Ramen soup with canned chicken. Very chickeny, but good.

Very large trees in the Humboldt Redwood forest.

More dinosaurs.

So long California.

Wait, is that...

Yes, yes it is. And he talked. And you could talk back to him! The dude was hilarious.

Bet you weren't expecting THAT. On our way to Crater Lake.

The snow got really really high.

We met up with some local folks having some fun.

We are on top of the gift shop roof. The snow was that high.

That crater is actually a caldera, not an impact crater.

That night, a BLM campground greeted us with no fee and free fire wood. Our first fire. There were some rude loud neighbors though.

The fire wasn't going that well. Everything was damp. But I had an idea.

Don't worry. It wasn't that huge. It was just a slow shutter speed.

Paul looks on with satisfaction.

Chili! Hobo style.

The next day, I found some sweet ride.

At Paul's cousin Meghan's house in Bend, OR, we did an oil change. And I discovered a new, more aggressive oil leak.

The next day, we stopped for a tuna and tortilla lunch on the road to Portland.

Not a very clever name.

Portland was really cool. Laid back and not too serious like lots of other cities.

Nice water fountain. I hope it's the kind you drink out of, 'cause we did.
