Andrea Says: Very Large Array

The boys arrived at the very large array today. Mike says, so far, it was the highlight of the trip. Cell phone signal was very spotty, so we couldn't talk long. What I got from the very brief conversation was they are camping at a ground with very small trees, they met people from Attleboro, Mass., they are in the mountain area where the gas is a strange octane (guy talk), and they went to Walmart. Tomorrow they should have internet, so I am hoping for pictures.

    Is this the same Array that is shown in the movie 'Contact'?

    If you had the ability to "like" a comment, I'd like that one. A good contact reference is hard to come by.

    It is the same array, Kathy. Although it is not actually used by SETI or any similar agency. It is for viewing distant objects.
