If you’ve seen recent posts from our heroes Mike and Paul then you know they have changed course from their original mission. I’m sad to say, the quest to find Number 5 has been delayed. Their paths will cross again someday, but a matter of national security has arisen.
Recently, Mike and Paul were recently “buzzed” by a Tornado Jet. Mike and Paul responded in the only way they could. However, upon closer inspection, Paul noticed a few logos on the jet that concerned him. He was reminded of something from his past and quickly changed the direction of this mission – and ultimately, the direction of our very lives...
Many of you have never heard of the battle of "Partisan Rock." However, it was this very battle that shaped the foundation of our modern day country and the patriotic soul of Paul Briggs. Years ago when we were but wee lads, In rural parts of Colorado a battle of epic proportions took place. From out of the sky, Soviet and Cuban troops begin landing on the football field of a Colorado high school. In seconds, the paratroops have attacked the school and sent a group of teenagers fleeing into the mountains. Armed only with hunting rifles, pistols & bows and arrows, the teens struggles to survive the bitter winter and Soviet KGB patrols hunting for them.
Paul, having been the victim of a mishap in the airport, was sent to Colorado while his entire family was en route to France. Within minutes of landing in the state, Paul had discovered news of the “Red” attack and moved to the woods. Within minutes, he was the leader of this young group and they repelled the nation’s greatest threat....under the banner of 'Wolverines'!
Paul always knew that some day he would be drawn back to that spot. Today is that day and with Mike by his side he is as confident as ever that he can once again “defend his house.”
