Fun With Texas

We've been in Texas for two days now. I've noticed a few things about this state that everyone seems to have an opinion about. First, the speed limits are very high. Second, for the most part, people obey them relatively strictly. ...Whoa a couple of wild turkeys just wandered by! ...Anyway, the other thing is the funny names for towns. First we rode through Soda. Then there was Pumpkin. Then there was the grand daddy of them all. Walker County. Also, the roadsigns that tell you not to litter say "Don't mess with Texas." And poeple are mostly really really nice. Even the customs guys at a checkpoint along the road. Good people. TSA, I am looking at you.
